Hibiscus Garden Hotel
A Nature Resort

The Hibiscus Garden Hotel is the ideal base for exploring nature. The most famous sights are:

- The Yala National Park with its unique landscape is the most famous national park in Sri Lanka. There you can observe a variety of animal species, for example: elephants, leopards, collar bears, crocodiles, wild boar, deer and many exotic species of birds.

- The Udawalawe National Park, known for its large elephant population, is also within easy reach of the Hibiscus Garden Hotel. There you can observe especially many big and small elephants with their herds.

- The Bundala Bird Sanctuary, well known for herons, storks and pelicans.

- Jeep Safari's to Yala, Udawalawe and Bundala can be booked directly after arrival at the hotel.

- Also well known is the Kataragama Temple, which hosts a big festival with many decorated elephants once a year during the full moon in July / August.

- Boats can be rented on the Tissa Reservoir - ideally at sunset - and the variety of birds and bats can be observed.

- In Kirinda, a small fishing village on the south coast of Sri Lanka, only about 30 minutes drive from Hibiscus Garden Hotel, is our small fisherman's hut next to picturesque rocks. There you will get an insight into the way of life of the local fishermen. We are happy to organize a BBQ for you in the evening. Please contact us!
